OK, so I got into family things and forgot to post the Monday Math Challenge on Monday.  Well, it’s Wednesday, and here’s the challenge.  Get the semester off to a great start by accumulating bonus points now!  Email me at nancyfootehigley@gmail.com with your answer.

Pretend that it is 1995 when you answer this question.  I know that most of you weren’t born by 1995, but play along and it will make the question so much easier.

How many years are between the last year that could be read as a number upside down and the next year that can be read as a number upside-down?

Snow falling December 5, 2009

I grew up in Chicago where snow in the winter was part of the magic.  I moved to AZ 25 years ago — and frankly I always felt a little bad that my kids didn’t have that magic in their lives.  I took them to Flagstaff and back to Chicago a lot, but still, they didn’t get the magic of snow.

Well you can enjoy a little of the magic of snow on my website.  From now until school begins after break you will see snow falling on my website.  Your computer is not having problems.  I am sharing the magic.

Grab some hot chocolate (with marshmallows) and ENJOY!
